Clavister to secure 4G & LTE networks in China with new partnership agreement

In Blog post by Clavister Blog Staff

In the world’s largest (and fastest-growing) mobile market, secure delivery of next-generation mobile services is critical to safeguarding subscribers’ trust and maintaining that growth.  That’s why we are pleased to announce we have signed an agreement with Bravo Telecommunication System (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd (BTS), China’s leading provider of infrastructure solutions to MNOs, to integrate our security products into its overall solutions offering.

BTS selected Clavister’s products for its portfolio following a two-year period of testing and collaboration.  Using Clavister’s products, BTS’ solutions will protect both network infrastructure and subscriber data against the risks of cyberattacks and interception.  These risks and threats are real:  in 2015, research shared by analyst Heavy Reading showed that 47% of mobile network operators in major markets experienced two or more network outages or degradation events, lasting over an hour, based on malicious attacks by external parties.

That’s a significant amount of downtime, which in turn causes loss of revenues as well as loss of subscriber trust.  It highlights just how critical security is in protecting networks against emerging attack vectors.  Clavister’s physical and virtual next-generation firewalls enable MNOs to safeguard their mobile cell sites, networks and data against all types of cyberattack.

China is the world’s largest 4G and LTE mobile market, with over 35% of all LTE subscribers globally, and the largest mobile subscriber base of any country, at 1.3 billion in 2015, so we’re looking forward to working with BTS to deliver advanced security to this fast-growing sector.
