This week we announced that Clavister has joined Wind River® Titanium Cloud, the ecosystem of Wind River Titanium Server designed to accelerate the deployment of Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) solutions.
By joining the ecosystem and integrating our products with Wind River Titanium Server, we can accelerate the time-to-market for service providers and TEMs that are deploying solutions based on NFV. Our customers will be able to choose Clavister products safe in the knowledge that they are pre-validated with Titanium Server and ready for deployment to secure their NFV environments.
The collaboration is part of our strategy to deliver NFV carrier grade solutions to mobile operators, enabling customers to address technical and business challenges during the transition to NFV. This shift will accelerate, as carriers, telcos and MNOs realise the economies and efficiencies NFV can deliver. According to the July 2015 IHS Infonetics NFV Hardware, Software, and Services report, the global network functions virtualization (NFV) hardware, software and services market is predicted to reach $11.6 billion in 2019, up from $2.3 billion in 2015.
“By using the Wind River Titanium Server we can now reach the same performance levels with accelerated vSwitch technology that was previously only possible by using virtual network functions. Using Windriver accelerated vSwitch technology allows significantly increased system flexibility compared to using virtual functions,” commented James Byström, VP global sales at Clavister.
Wind River Titanium Server is an NFV solution based on open software standards and designed to meet the ‘always on’ requirements of the telecom industry. To find out more about our partnership and the Wind River Titanium Cloud ecosystem click here.
